POWER OF CHOICE
The F-150 comes with five engine choices, and the innovative 10-speed SelectShift® transmission delivers higher average power for acceleration white also improving responsiveness and performance. The 10-speed gearbox helps improve fuel efficiency at highway speeds, and during city driving, beacuse of a wide-ratio span and optimized gear spacing (including 3 overdrive gears) You’ll also feel more confident towing knowing that you have 10 speeds WITH a selected tow/haul mode. The transmission’s electronic control system is engineered to help ensure the right gear at the right time, including skip-shift and direct downshift capability

Ford’s exclusive mix of high-strength, military-grade, and aluminum alloy works together with a unique frame structure to help reduce crush to the passenger compartment in front, side and rear impacts during a collision.
A patented 12-sided design in the high-strength-steel front-frame horn improves front-impact protection compared to traditional rectangular designs, by helping to dissipate crash energy. Additional through-welded crossmembers further bolster side-impact protection
WHAT’S NEW?
Newly designed tail lamps flank a sculpted tailgate complete with rugged new “F-150” stamping on XL through KING RANCH® models. For further style differentiation, KING RANCH Chrome Package, PLATINUM and LIMITED replace the stamping with a unique satin-aluminum tailgate treatment. From XL to LIMITED, new grilles, headlamps and bumpers give F-150 a wider, planted-to-the-ground attitude. On LARIAT Sport Package, body-color-painted twin grille bars project an athletic appearance. Six new wheel designs, ranging from 18 to 22 inches, complete the exterior changes.
