“Excellent, friendly, helpful sales-people. We spotted a car on their website that we were very interested in. Same day we called to say we were on the way to see it (we live quite a way outside of St. John). When we got there, Kevin in Sales had the car ready for a test drive for us. Loved the car so went ahead with the purchase. We then found out just how friendly and helpful the sales manager is. After just a short, SIMPLE, negotiation over price, we were able to do the deal. NO HAGGLING. Just a SIMPLE negotiation. It was a breath of fresh air compared to an experience we had with a different dealer the day before in Moncton (they tried to confuse and make it complicated to try to get a lot more money out of us). Since then, we have been enjoying a great car. No problems. And Kevin called us a couple of weeks after we drove away, to make sure we were happy. Highly recommend this dealership. Great experience. I had been looking for a vehicle for months- new and used, dealer and private- and had zero success. Not only was I not finding the right vehicle, but I was turned off by a lot of the salespeople I encountered at other dealerships. I ended up going into Downey to look at some trucks and met with sales associate Kevin Smith. He helped me find the right truck for me- and get the deal that I wanted on it. When I dealt with him, it was clear he was working for me, and not just trying to push vehicles out the door. Everything I wanted, he made it happen. Based solely on my experience dealing with Kevin (and the rest of the staff I met at Downey), I can say that my next vehicle will most likely be a Ford and I’ll definitely be calling Kevin when its time to start shopping for it. “Great experience. After being told by another dealership my tire couldn’t be fixed, went to Downey to get some tires installed, which is when they noticed that my flat tire was actually repairable. They patched it up and I was able to get home.
Samantha was great in offering my daughter and I a loaner vehicle while work was being done, as well the staff in general was very helpful in keeping my daughter entertained, nice people all around.

“We had an exceptional though positive experience with Downeys in Saint John. 😀
After I spotted a car on the website, I could immediately come over to have a look. Kevin welcomed us friendly and answered all the questions we had.
We were hesitating between 2 Ford Escapes and really enjoyed one, but the only problem was that there still was a smokers’ air inside, he promised to get rid of it. We could make a test drive and really enjoyed the car so agreed to take it if the odour was gone. The other car had too many visible scratches, so we decided to go for the other one.
This took a couple of days and Kevin came over with the car to our place in St Stephen (which is an hour drive), the odour was gone so we agreed to take the car. …

… The whole process of payment went smooth, and we agreed with Kevin the price also included change to winter tires.
After a couple of weeks, we found out some problems with the engine light bulb and we had to contact Kevin again. He did everything he could to help us out and we got a nice rental car in the meantime
Unfortunately, the mechanics noticed a very bad problem with the engine and Kevin arranged with his manager that we would get the other car instead with the scratches fixed. This one was 1 year younger with some more kilometers but the same features. This was all done without extra cost so I really would like to thank Kevin for all his effort, especially the service after sale. It’s a fact that you can’t foresee everything, but we really appreciate the efforts he did.”
